In the first part of the presentation, I will present the historical and geographical situation that characterizes and determines the circumstances of Hungarians in Croatia. Since the birth of the new and independent Croatia was not simple, various legal aspects were initially guaranteed by bilateral contracts. This manifests itself in regional language use, education in the mother tongue and in the media. In the case of Hungarians, political rights are also important, as well as their explanation and introduction in relation to other countries. Thereby, I will cover the minority municipalities at distinct levels and the parliamentary representation as well. _x000D_
